New Vision Institute is a Christian religious institution committed to fostering a respectful, faith-centered learning environment. The Institute seeks to resolve student concerns in a manner consistent with Christian principles, mutual respect, and fairness.
This Student Grievance Policy applies to students enrolled in the Institute’s religious instructional programs and is administered in accordance with the Institute’s religious mission.
All programs are religious in nature and are offered pursuant to the religious exemption under California Education Code §94874(e).
Non-Discrimination Statement
New Vision Institute does not unlawfully discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, ancestry, religion, sex, age, disability, or any other status protected by applicable law in the administration of its educational programs and activities.
Scope of Grievances
A student may submit a grievance if they believe they have been treated unfairly or if an institutional policy has been improperly applied. Grievances may relate to:
- Academic or instructional concerns
- Application of institutional policies or procedures
- Alleged arbitrary or unfair actions by faculty or staff
- Concerns related to conduct within the academic environment
Grievances must relate directly to the student’s participation in the Institute’s religious programs.
Grievance Resolution Process
The Institute encourages informal resolution whenever possible. If informal resolution is not successful, the following process applies:
Step 1: Written Submission
The student must submit a written grievance describing the concern, relevant facts, and the desired resolution.
Step 2: Review
The grievance will be reviewed by the appropriate institutional authority. Additional information may be requested if needed.
Step 3: Institutional Response
A written response will be provided to the student within a reasonable timeframe outlining the Institute’s determination.
Step 4: Final Determination
The Institute’s decision is final and is made in consideration of institutional policy, academic judgment, and Christian principles of reconciliation and fairness.
Limitations
- Grievance procedures do not apply to matters of academic judgment, grading discretion, or doctrinal instruction
- Grievances must be submitted in good faith
- Anonymous grievances may be reviewed at the Institute’s discretion

New Vision Institute is a religious educational institution operating under the religious exemption provided by California Education Code §94874(e). Student grievance procedures are administered internally and are not subject to external regulatory oversight.
